Summer Reading Program 2008

The Library's summer reading program has begun, but it's not too late to join the fun! See the Program page for our special summer events.

Friends of the Library Book Sale

The book sale is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, in conjunction with Wharton's Canal Day events.  Profits from the book sale benefit the Library.  When considering books for donations, please note that we are unable to sell stained or tattered or out-of-date books.  The Library circulation staff will begin receiving donations on July 14, 2008.

Please do not donate the following:

  1. Abused, grubby, or badly worn books
  2. Books with highlighted or underlined text
  3. Condensed books
  4. Magazines
  5. Textbooks
  6. Books with out-of-date information

Downloadable Audiobooks News

Downloadable audiobooks from OverDrive are now available under the name ListenNJNW, because it is a resource we share with other Northwest NJ libraries.  To access the web site, click on the ListenNJNW logo below.  For instructions on using this resource, click on the link for "Digital Media Guided Tour" that you will find on the ListenNJNW web site.  (More detailed instructions on using this resource will soon be available on our Library's web site.)  Other links found there will give you additional information.  To check out an audiobook once you have selected it, remember to choose "Morris Automated Information Network (M.A.I.N., Inc.)" from the drop-down menu, and to enter your library card barcode (13 digits, no spaces or hyphens) and your 4-digit PIN. 

 


DVD/CD Drop Box

NEW!  The Wharton Library has installed a DVD/CD drop box outside the library next to the existing bookdrop.  Please note:  All VHS tapes and Books-on-Tape/CD MUST STILL be returned inside the library.

Join the Friends of the Library Today!

As a member of the Friends, you will support the use and enjoyment of the library and promote it as a vital community asset.  Recently, the Friends have used funds to purchase two loveseats for the children's room and four adult reading chairs.  Support your library and join today!  Yearly membership is $10.00.
