Born in Brooklyn, Steve Sheinkin used to write textbooks. But in 2008 he switched gears, choosing to write books about history for teens instead. His interesting topics and suspenseful, engaging writing have earned him many awards. The Wharton Public Library owns four of his books. Pay us a visit to check them out!

The Freedom Summer Murders
